This course introduces you to DB2, the relational database management system that is part of every IBM i computer system. The course begins by describing basic database concepts, focusing in particular on relational databases. It then describes the DB2 implementation of a relational database. The course provides a detailed description of physical files, logical files, and the products and tools that are used with a DB2 database. It ends with a description of the tools and products that are used in a distributed database environment.
